The ICE Program received this amazing message from parents of a child in our program…
“I would like to take this time to thank you and the ICE Board of Directors for what you have done for our son Christian Dimas. No words can express the gratitude we feel as parents to have had our son recognized for his achievements on and off the ice by a distinctive group like ICE. I am sure the event on Sunday afternoon of the 23rd of April will be in my son’s memory forever and all of you have made it happen.
This recognition not only gave my son an opportunity to meet people as wonderful as you but most important it helped his self confidence. He is a different young man on and off the ice, he is a little more outspoken and his conversation is a little longer than a short sentence.
One thing Christian has always told me is how superstars feel when they are being recognized by their peers. At his young age a dream came true for him, he got to feel how they feel when being applauded in the middle of the ice by others who love the game of hockey. He said to me, “No words can explain it Dad, it felt great!”. For a shy young man like Christian this was more than he expected, I am sure he will remember this day for the rest of his life and we thank all of you for making it happen.
