This year ICE is providing scholarships to SIX Chicago area youth hockey players.

With our help these students are now attending schools such as DeLaSalle Institute, Nazareth Academy, Guerin Prep, and Notre Dame, instead of some of the worst public schools in the inner-city.

Since its inception in 2003, ICE has raised approximately $350,000 with ALL profits going towards our mission of helping underprivileged, youth hockey players. Of course, the more money we raise, the more of these kids we can help.

To help the ICE Program continue to be successful, please join us for our upcoming 7th annual charity hockey game – and our new skills competition! The skills competition will include: Hardest Shot, Fastest Skater, Most Accurate Shooter and a Breakaway Elimination Contest.

Saturday, April 16th at 3pm

Johnny’s Icehouse WEST

2550 W. Madison St. Chicago, IL 60612

There will be 5 former pros on each team, giving you the chance to play with AND against former NHL stars. The game is 3 full periods with one ice cut. Between family, friends and other ICE Program supporters the stands are packed for this game every year.

Preceding this year’s game will be the skills competition and it will be included as part of the package for ALL donor-players. However, if there are any events in which a player prefers to not participate that will be their prerogative. As noted above, the events will include: Hardest Shot, Fastest Skater, Most Accurate Shooter and Breakaway Elimination. After the skills competition there will be an ice cut and a brief warm-up before the start of our regular game.

Blackhawks mascot TommyHawk and some of the Ice Crew Girls will be on hand for pictures and in-game promotions such as a raffle of various sports memorabilia.
